BAVET - Bulgarian association for village and eco tourism
The establishment of BAVET was in 1994 and took place in the city of Byala Cherkva. Representatives of Ravnogor, leaded by engineer George Pashkulev- the mayor of the village, attended the establishment with which Ravnogor become a member of BAVET. Dr. Peter Petrov was elected head of the association.
In 2004, while visiting, the chairman of the association nominated Ravnogor as being the center of the eco-tourism in the Northwestern Rhodopes.
Hundreds of French tourists visited the village and left in awe by the beauty of nature and the hospitality of the local people. The two hotels, ‘Ravnogor’ and ‘Panorama’, give the opportunity to many tourists from Bulgaria and abroad to visit the beautiful village in the Rhodopes.
