The village of Ravnogor is situated 1362 meters above sea level in the Batak’s part of the northwestern Rhodopes. Geographical it is located on 41,57 degree north latitude and 24,22 degree east altitude. The land of Ravnogor is 92 thousand acres, with northeastern boundaries – the village of Jrebichko, southwestern boundaries –the village of Nova Mahala, northwestern boundaries- the city of Brazigovo. These are parts of the lands of the ancient thraces a proof of which is the numerous Thracian tombs, one of which is the biggest tomb in Bulgaria with 5,30meters in diameter. The distance between Ravnogor and Plovdiv is 55 kilometers, and with Peshtera –23 kilometers.
