The Vucha dam
This is one of the biggest dams in Bulgaria and the biggest one on the river valley of Vucha –the second in length river in south Bulgaria, after Arda. For nature lovers the sight that can be seen there is unique – 90% of hill St. Iiliya can be seen. The dam is over 30meters in length and is one of the deepest. It serves not only for energy supply but also for irrigating and providing with drinking water a part of Plovdiv region. It is difficult to reach it because the area is difficult to pass for a car, and the distance to it is around 15 kilometers. There can be seen perch, white fish, carp and other types of fishes, which draw the attention of many, keen on fishing people.
